No More "Wining!"

The vote on Question number 1 on November 7th was a close match but in the end, the majority voted NO - granting no additional licenses to be distributed to local supermarkets, convenience stores, and gas stations. How do you feel about the outcome of the vote and the
potential pros/cons that surround this highly publicized issue? |

Wonderful Mary,
Not only did you stereotype the assumption that drunk drivers are somehow not going to purchase alcohol because of 'inconvenience' but you ALSO stereotyped every Grocery store worker and Convenience store owner at the same time.
What creditbility do you have to make these assumptions on these 'types' of workers?
Your comments are racist and ingnorant as much as your opinon on thinking that this will somehow dramatically improve anything whatsoever other than further establish a monopoly on alcohol purchase.
My family has owned a chain of convenience stores for years, the majority of us with a college education. I take pride in our family operation and excuse me if I don't agree with you on being 'low-skiled'. Heaven help YOU Mary and hopefully open your eyes beyond the brainwashed bubble you live in.

I was glad to see that Question 1 went down to defeat. We have enough trouble with drunken drivers on the road without increasing the locations where they can buy their poisons. Heaven help us if we have to rely on low-wage, low-skilled workers at convenience and grocery stores to monitor the sale of liquor.

So much for freedom of choice. Less options aren't going to stop drunks from drinking any more than raising the taxes on tobacco is going to stop smokers from smoking. The only thing this law is going to inhibit is how long it's going to take me to pick up a bottle of wine so I can make a romantic dinner for my wife.

My heart dropped to the floor when the results of the election came through...
A country born and raised on the ideas of freedom and choice, but now instead, I had to go get gas at a Hess station to avoid high gas prices drive on my cheap gas all the way to Walmart so I can save some money on essentials and drive over to a shop n' save so that I can get affordable produce. Just think...I could've saved a trip, but now I have to drive all the way to a liquor store where they can successfully price gouge my wallet thanks to the successful measure of No on 1!
Well congratulations, I'm going to fill up my tank AGAIN and put more poison into the atmosphere from driving around to make yet another stop...
